MESUT CASKA

Çaşka began his music studies with oud, at Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Conservatory, Classical Turkish Music Department in 1990. He served as Turkish Music Theory lecturer, oud teacher and player under the same roof, between 1996-2000. He also studied oud and Turkish Music Composition with Cinuçen Tanrıkorur, who is known as a Turkish Music composer abroad, between 1998-2000.

 In 1998, he began violin at Uludag University and graduated from Bayazıt Ahundov’s class in 2002. In 2008, he fulfilled his master’s degree at Trakya University State Concervatory with Prof. Aminbay Sapayev in chamber music and with Prof. Zuhra Mansurova in violin. He also studied violin with Prof. Dr. Cihat Aşkın between 2007-2010.

He performed as the concertmaster in Nilüfer Chamber Orchestra between 2003-2006. Çaşka performed at the festivals as a violinist and oud player at Greece, Italy, Germany, France, Finland, Sweden and Denmark.

Çaşka founded Bursa Ensemble in 2014, where he is currently managing as the Art Director. He is also a member of Aşkın Ensemble.

He realized his first radio record at ITU MIAM’s Studio Concerts Project in May 2012. He also carries on his chamber music studies with Alexander Mekaev.

Çaşka is a member of CAKA Project (Cihat Askin and Little Friends) and is the branch manager of Bursa. Since 2011, he’s been organizing summer and winter schools for CAKA Project.
